Students have the opportunity to participate in a free summer art workshop series taking place at Lee Street Studios and Greenbrier East High School June 22-26. Hands-on sessions will be taught by local artists. Students will create an art piece to take home at most sessions. Workshop sessions focus on traditional artforms or skills, and may include wood-turning, needle felting, painting, pottery, archery, theater, sewing, printmaking, and others. Transportation and lunch will be provided. Flyers and applications are available for those who are interested. Applications are due to the front office by Monday, May 18.
