Planning is underway for the 2023-2024 school calendar! We invite parents, students, staff, and community members to complete a brief online school calendar survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RXHKD9V. The survey closes on Friday, January 20. Calendar options and a planning guide are available at https://www.greenbriercountyschools.org/page/school-calendar-planning. GCS will host a public forum regarding the calendar on February 14 at 5:30 p.m. and March 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kyle & Ann Fort Arts & Sciences Building on the campus of New River CTC. The 2023-2024 school calendar will be presented for approval at the regular meeting of the board of education on March 14.

The EGMS Project Fair will be held on Thursday, February 23 in the EGMS library. Pre-registration is required and can be completed through their grade level classroom page. Students should set up their projects in the library that morning before 1st period. Students can download the required abstract from https://wvssfair.com/students/ and they will also find the rules, categories, and a score card at this same link which is the official WV State Social Studies Fair website. Project Boards are available in Ms. Wood's room. Questions can be directed to Ms. Wood at jwood@k12.wv.us. We look forward to seeing some amazing projects!

Alderson families, please note that the Cedar Avenue morning pickup location for Eastern Greenbrier Middle and Greenbrier East High students has been relocated to the front of Alderson Elementary on Elmwood Avenue, effective immediately. This change is necessary due to construction. School security will be onsite in the morning to guide the new process. Thank you.
